Children matter too!

Love this weeks post! Maybe I’m bias as I work with both adults and young people. I do also like quotes from Kate Middleton as she’s such an advocate for young people and their mental health. Have you spotted the quote I have of hers on my website?

It’s bizarre to think that kids at school are required to do PE weekly (or even several times a week) but there’s no compulsory contribution to a child’s mental health. I do think every school should have a counsellor (biased again) but at the end of the day, it’s a cost to a school and money they probably do not have! I’m lucky to be in paid employment working as a school counsellor alongside my private practice as most counsellors are expected to work for free (it’s true!!).
